In 1967, Fred Lower started this business as a small hobby, which quickly grew into the family-owned wholesale service that you can find today.
F. Lower’s Greenhouse began with a single hot house, over fifty years ago. The brain-child of Fred Lower, it quickly grew from a small, local produce production service to a fully fledged wholesale greenhouse operation located right here in Polk County, MO.
Now with countless plant species, each with multiple varieties, we proudly serve over 200 wholesale customers in Southwest Missouri.
In 2020 we began retail for those customers who want to shop for their home gardens or landscaping and as of April 2024 we opened a brand new storefront that allows our customers to come see us all year round. We have tropical plants year round, mums in the fall, and poinsettias & Christmas trees in the winter.
